What is different about an Internship or Placement at M&G?

Whilst we take on only a small number of Interns and Placement students, we are keen to establish them into our teams as key resources. You will be aligned to one of the departments. This will ensure you have not only a good foundation, but specific knowledge to advance your career. 

Over the course of your internship or placement we will provide you with the opportunity to explore the way the M&G business is run, interact with people in all departments and at all levels, allowing you to develop a wide range of skills and competencies within your chosen area.  You will also receive a competitive salary throughout your time at M&G.

Investment Internships

During this scheme you will gain exposure to the front office investment areas within either Equities or Fixed Income as well as the wider business. From day one you'll be treated as a key member, taking an active and productive role. Whilst we take on only a small number of Interns, we are keen to establish them into our teams as key resources.

Commercial Internships

The scheme allows students to experience our Retail division through one of the following areas; Investment Marketing, Corporate Communications, Global Sales, Marketing, Product Development and Strategic Planning. 

Quantitative Modelling (PMG) Internships

The Portfolio Management Group (PMG) sits between Prudential and M&G to direct Prudential’s Asset Allocation within M&G. It is the in-house investment strategist and 'manager of managers' for the Prudential Group in the UK. As an intern you will use mathematical models to produce returns for the various asset classes that the funds invest in.  This will allow you to put your current modelling skills to the test and will also develop your programming skills in order to build asset models that simulate asset returns over the long term for a large number of scenarios.

Finance Internships

Finance is a key support function within the business and provides financial data to management which enables effective decision making, as well as delivering upon M&G’s statutory accounting and regulatory obligations. The Finance teams work closely with all areas of the business, preparing useful and insightful management information to help the business meet its strategic objectives.
