What we do in Tax
We take a consultative approach to our tax work, which adds significant value to our clients’ businesses and makes a tangible difference to their profits. We do this for a number of different clients across a variety of industries, including financial services, real estate, sport, leisure, manufacturing, utilities and technology.
This variety of work means you’ll gain broad and in-depth knowledge of business. As well as providing coaching in key skills, we’ll also give you all the support you need to gain valuable professional qualifications.
Your role in Tax
You will have client contact from the very start of your career. The area of tax you join will determine the type of day-to-day work you do, but all our tax professionals use a combination of skills in their work. Some work may be more compliance based in nature, whereas some work has a consultancy approach to assessing client need and problem solving. The areas you can join cover:

As your career progresses so does the level of responsibility. Career progression is rapid, as we’ll give you responsibility early on. Within a year or two of joining, you’ll have staff working for you and you will have to manage their workload as well as your own.

Academic requirements
- GCSE (or equivalent): Grade B or above in Maths, Grade A-C in English.
- A Level (or equivalent): 300 UCAS Tariff points or above
- Degree: 2:1 or above in any discipline
